MY other hobby... |

My other newly acquired hobby: airsoft.
Umbrella Corp successfully defended, moved and launched their missiles in a three part scenario game. The local town of White City had all biohazard elements neutralized. That's me in the middle.

Echo 1 is the way to go. With airsoft guns you get what you pay for, except for Echo1, where you get a little bit more than you pay for.
The G36C on the left is an Echo1, my roommate's weapon of choice. It shoots straight and flat, great gun. My AK is an Echo1 also and aside from being terribly front heavy (drawback of the swing stock) is a very nice gun, not quite as accurate as the G36C, but it has 600 round magazines instead of 400, so it evens out in the end.

Yeah, that's a classic vid, my favorite on youtube is Airsoft - Combat South Urban 13-03-05 where you can see a kid take a shot from a 40mm GL. That's a lot of BBs!

Ive seen that one too. Its awesome. Quick question for you. I'm using the Echo 1 G36C with Echo 1 ammo. At about 80' they start curving all over the place. The hop up is on its lowest setting and it shoots flat up to that point. Should I go with a higher grade ammo?

I don't have much experience with different kinds of ammo, I just get what the store sells. I did have something similar happen with my Echo1 AK. It was shooting flat to about the same distance and then they'd scatter all over. I adjusted the hop-up up a little and they started wobbling and not shooting flat at all. I adjusted the hop-up a lot and they started curving straight up. I gave up on the hop-up for a while, then one day I was fiddling with it and found a sweet spot that gave an extra 20' or so. Play with the hop-up a lot, hopefully that'll do it. Are the BB's you're using polished? If not, try them out, they're not too much more expensive and supposedly help quite a bit.

straightened it out. Got some heavier BB's, went from .20 to .25 makes a huge diff!

I paid $125 for mine $20 off from the normal $145. Its a great gun and now that I'm shooting .25g BB's it shoots flat to about 150 feet. Ya' oughta' give it a try.

The one I was looking at look like a light machine gun with handle and a box magazine under it . Also had a bi pod attached to it. It was running for $300 !

That was probably a Classic Army or Tokyo Maru M249. They are pretty spendy, but are also the top of the mark. The M249 they both make is really cool and worth the change.

Explore this site. Look at some of the middle level guns. GB and Echo 1 are the same gun..

Sorry guys, but I gotta go with paintball over airsoft. Especially since the military's started training with some really sweet markers that have actual ejecting brass.
